2010 Yahoo Fantasy Baseball Autodraft Team & Scorecard

Every year I play in at least one Fantasy Baseball league through Yahoo Sports. I like the random draft and challenge of getting a fresh start managing the team from the ground up.
This year is no different. You can check out the full details of the league here (standard 5×5 rotisserie league), but here is my initial roster and draft detail. I’ll also try to keep a running archive of transactions using the Intense Debate comment system below. Comments, opinions, and feedback are always appreciated!

Analysis and Projections
I was surprised that Yahoo auto-drafted three shortstops for my team in the first five rounds. However as I look closer my utility positions are tremendous and this provides adequate coverage for competing in the stolen base category. If Jose Reyes rebounds I also have incredible depth and leverage for trades later in the season. Reyes’ health is a critical key to my season.
Gordon Beckham and Placido Polanco’s eventual eligibility and 2B and 3B respectively provide flexibility. I’m hopeful Nolan Reimold can produce as the Orioles cleanup hitter, allowing me to use him as a regular OF and have the option to shift Dunn to 1B (moving Reynolds down to 3B) or trade.
With regards to pitching: I try never to draft starting pitching early; preferring to acquire/trade for talent later in the year and using quality relief pitching to bring down ERA/WHIP throughout the season. Brandon Webb could be a key mid-round draft pick and top starting pitcher down the stretch if his shoulder holds up. Regardless I am glad my pre-draft rankings pushed pitching selections down to the seventh round pick.
There are question marks with the late round picks. Dotel, Reimold, Matsui, and Chris Davis all could flop. There is a lot of injury suspects and young talent on this team overall. That said, the second half of my lineup (outfield and utility) seem solid, and I like the core of my pitching staff.
Let’s see how the season turns out!

Waiver Wire Transaction: I dropped Hideki Matsui for Francisco Liriano, knowing I'll need some depth at SP and Liriano is off to a great start to Spring Training. Since Matsui is only eligible at UTIL and may only log 400 or so AB's, I'd rather not take the chance on his season.
Waiver Wire Transaction 3/19: I picked up Neftali Feliz from waivers, dropping Mark Buehrle. I like K's, which Buehrle does not really offer. Could be a mistake but we'll see as the season rolls on.
Burehrle got me a perfect game and crazy points!!!
Yeah if you had him for that game last year, you would have been pretty happy!
Waiver Wire Transaction 4/4: I dropped Nolan Reimold and picked up Alberto Callaspo on 3/31 for his 2B/3B eligibility and the fact Callaspo could hit 3rd or 4th in the KC lineup. However I'm not overly excited about this acquisition and will monitor Reimold's progress (he ended Spring Training on a hot streak) to see how things play out.
Waiver Wire Transaction 4/6: Ended up dropping Callaspo in favor of Jeff Clement, who provides C and 1B eligibility in Yahoo Leagues; considering reacquiring Reimold as well. Also picked up Brian Matusz
